Alright, since this is my first time playing Russia, or even a character like him, I know I'm bound to make a few fuck ups. Which is where you, the lovely cast and audience come in. Think something's off? Ivan's not creepy enough? Not drinking enough vodka? Totally needs to dye his hair purple right now? Let me know. Comments are screened and ip logging is off, and I promise while each suggestion might not be implemented, it'll at least be seriously considered.

He stood quietly to the side, dressed in full splendor for the occasion, though no amount of pomp could hide his state. The deep circles under his eyes, the hollowed cheeks and protruding cheek bones betraying how thin he'd become. Boris had done some things right, yes, but he'd done many, many things wrong. But despite it all, there was a small smile on his face, a look of pride as his new boss spoke. A look of hope. Vladimir Putin was speaking now as president to his people, delivering his speech to the world, and Ivan almost swore he could already feel the change - though that was ridiculous of course. He had been acting president for five months now already. Today in particular changed nothing specifically, nothing tangibly. Because change had already started, albeit slowly. Perhaps it was just his nation's excitement he was feeling. The apprehension, the hope, the fears and the dreams of millions, and his own. He was not sure he could survive another term under his now-former boss. Putin had a lot to do if they were going to survive for long.

They were filing out now, and Russia followed tamely behind former and current leader down the steps to the parade ground, and like always he is silent. He knows his role, has known it for so very long. He is hear to observe and to be observed. The silent presence and reminder of what was really at stake. And when the marching began he allowed himself to drift back just a bit, allowing himself just a sliver of space, though his eyes never leave the pair of presidents.

A sudden mental illness seems to have claimed several of my satellites. I have to wonder if it is something environmental here in Desai, as I can think of no reason for such a sudden onset. I normally am fine with allowing them to go where they please within reason, but if there is something affecting them here, I may have to bar travel to this place.

Herr Germany, have you noticed anything strange in yours?

It seems while traveling back here, my bag was selected for random searching. Though I can appreciate the measures for safety, they could have at least refolded my clothing. Really, it doesn't take that much effort, and my clothes were so nicely pressed. A conversation with the Travel Agency might be necessary.

((OOC: You all saw Russia!Germany, now say hello to Germany!Russia!))

где я? This is not Siberia? I do not know this place, how strange. Has someone else decided to try and interfere with the Bolsheviks? Perhaps I will have to bring them back to Siberia with me. However.

A spectre is haunting Europe—the spectre of Communism. All the Powers of old Europe have entered into a holy alliance to exorcise this spectre: Pope and Czar, Metternich and Guizot, French Radicals and German police-spies. Where is the party in opposition that has not been decried as Communistic by its opponents in power? Where is the Opposition that has not hurled back the branding reproach of Communism, against the more advanced opposition parties, as well as against its reactionary adversaries?

The Communists disdain to conceal their views and aims. They openly declare that their ends can be attained only by the forcible overthrow of all existing social conditions. Let the ruling classes tremble at a Communistic revolution. The proletarians have nothing to lose but their chains. They have a world to win.

Now where is Anastasia? It is not like her to be so late for our tea parties. I wonder what jam we should have today... I should change my bandages before I find her, the blood surely will upset her.
